The following three leagues start completely new seasons in January. Click on the league title for more information.
And our newest league, the Rainbowl League, is still accepting new bowlers.
UPCOMING EVENT
Saturday, January 28
CRAZY Bowling Tournament
AMF Annandale Lanes, 4245 Markham St., Annandale, VA
(just off of Little River Turnpike • one mile east the the Beltway)
Shift 1: 11 a.m.; Shift 2: 1 p.m.
Cost: $20
Game 1: Low Bowl
Obtain the lowest score possible!
- You must hit a pin with every ball
- A strike is a strike
- A gutterball is a strike (or spare)
- A spare is a spare
- A perfect score would be 20 per game
Game 2: Blind Bowl
A sheet will cover the pins so you will not be able to see what pins you knocked down. Otherwise, bowl as normal.
Game 3: Obstacle Bowl
A traffic cone will be placed in the middle of the lane. Your objective is to bowl around it.
This is a singles tournament, but feel free to bring a group of friends.
No handicaps will be used (not necessary).
An optional contest for highest score from each game is available for an additional $5 entry fee (if there is enough interest).
Payout will be 1 in 8.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.

NAMED MISS IGBABE
CARA would like to congratulate Steve Frable (aka Sable) for winning this year's Miss IGBABE title. Miss IGBABE is an annual drag performance competition held each year at the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO)'s Mid-Year Tournament.
MISS CARA 2012
CARA would like to congratulate Chandeleria Bacardi Limon (aka Patrick Mason) for winning this year's Miss CARA title. He will represent the DC area in next year's Miss IGBABE contest in Seattle. For more pictures from the 2011 Bowled & the Beautiful event, click here.
WEBMASTER WANTED
CARA is looking for a possible new Webmaster. This is a volunteer position. Duties would include updating the site with (but not limited to) new league information as it becomes available, posting information about events and infrequently updating text about CARA history, officers, award winners, Bylaws, etc.
Knowledge of HTML required. Basic knowledge of Javascript and contact forms preferred.
