CHIT 2024 No-Tap Fundraiser

    The Capital Halloween Invitational Tournament (“CHIT”) will be hosting a non-tap fundraiser event on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 1-4pm at Bowlero Falls Church 140 S Maple Ave, Falls Church, VA 22046. The entry fee is $25 and is payable at check-in (opens at 12:30pm).
    The following rules shall apply:

  • Open to the public.
  • The cost will be $25 per entry (breakdown $10 lineage, $10 prize fund, $5 fundraising donation to CHIT 2024.)
  • Each entry will consist of 2 games bowled.
  • Bowlers may re-enter for another 2-game score.
  • A result of 9 pins knocked down on the first ball of each frame will be scored as a strike.
  • Winners will be determined by the scratch series score after 2 games. Prize fund amount and number of places paid will be determined by the number of entries of reach division. Minimum payout is 1 in 10.
  • The no-tap event will consist of two separate divisions. 100% of the prize fund (as calculated in Rule 2) from each division in the Optional Scratch Competition shall be returned to that division.
  • The OPEN division will consist of any bowler with a league average of 170 or higher OR any bowler without an established league average of at least 21 games.
  • The FIESTA division will consist of any bowler who can verify a league average (21-game minimum) of 169 or lower. This league average may be from:
    • A 2022-2023 season final average from at least one league, as shown on bowl.com.
    • A 2023-2024 season final average from at least one league. Bowler must provide a copy of league final standing sheet for verification purposes, preferably in an online format.
    • A 2023-2024 season current average from at least one league, in case the bowler’s league has not yet ended. Bowler must provide a copy of league current standing sheet for verification purposes, preferably in an online format.
    • If none are the above (a-c) are available, a 2023 summer league average (21-game minimum) will be accepted, if verification is provided.
    • If none of the above (a-d) are available, the bowler must enter the OPEN division.
